Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician who is passionate about cars and customer service. The ideal candidate will be experienced in diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of various vehicles. You will work with a team of dedicated professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as an auto technician.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
• Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift).
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Vocational or Technical certification preferred.
• ASE certifications preferred.
